Tranexamic acid - where did the uterine lining go!?

So, I had very heavy periods for a few months. GP prescribed Tranexamic acid - it made the period really light. Much lighter than my normal levels.
What happened to my uterine lining then? Did it not shed completely? Will I have problems later !?

You weren't seeing uterine lining, you were seeing blood clots.

Less blood loss with the tranexamic acid, so no clots.

I found it was great for a while but stopped working. I had to stop using it and save it for when I needed it most for it to work. I ended up having surgery.

Careful how long you take it for - I was taking it for over a year, got DVT which the A&E consultant attributed to the heavy & prolonged use of DVT.
Still had really heavy periods while taking it - glad its working for you.
