To not make an effort anymore?

I always make a big effort with birthdays, Christmas etc. Sister has 3 children and a DH, I have one child and am a single parent. No money worries their end, I work part time and struggle to get by, not that that's relevant to the post but thought I should include a bit of background.

I spend a lot of time on thoughtful gifts, personal gifts that I know they would love but I never get a thank you or know whether the children liked their gifts.

It was my daughter's birthday yesterday and they forgot, got a card today with some money in it, no happy birthday text or call from either of them.

WIBU to just send vouchers in the future?

I'd probably suggest we just stop bothering altogether. It would make you feel less resentful.

YANBU it’s not worth the effort if it isn’t appreciated.
