To have breast pain with pneumonia?

I'm over 4 weeks in to a really nasty bout of pneumonia. It's been incredibly debilitating and I'm still struggling a week after finishing the second course of antibiotics (although vastly improved on how I felt before treatment)

The one thing I want to check with others who may have had pneumonia is whether it's normal to have severe pain in my breasts? Obviously I'm aware this may actually be pain based in my lungs but it really feels like it's inside my breast, even down to bras making the pain better/worse. Ive had it on the left side last week and this weekend it's moved to the right. When I first had my diagnosis I had very intense pain in/under my right breast so I couldn't wear a bra for a week. Is this par for the course or cause for concern? I've felt so ill it's hard to have a normal baseline for what's usual at the moment.

It could be costochondritis.

I've had pneumonia twice as well as a lot of severe chest infections. I usually get a lot of chest/rib pain, and I've found bras painful around the bottom but I've never had pain in my breasts.
I hope it clears soon, pneumonia is bad enough without extra pains!

Gosh poor you - really sorry to hear you've struggled with this before. Thanks for replying though this is reassuring. I'd assumed it was normal but DH is a worrier!
