Bulging disc and synovial cyst l5-s1

Me again got my mri results, has anyone had a cyst too? It's only 4mm but pressing on the nerve and one bulge is also pressing on the nerve, Thankfully after 11 weeks the nerve pain is settling but I've lost so much muscle mass in one leg, I'm trying to walk more now that I can do some steps without crutches and can weight bear. Lower back ache, not a pain just a deep ache that makes me feel abit sick tbh. It's wierd. Anyway osteopath advised a back brace for when I'm moving around, I'm desperate to be more mobile but also a little nervous not to trigger the nerve pain again. My walking is not normal walking yet but I'm hoping once I get some strength that will improve. Thoughts?

My friend had this, had Ian operation to remove the cyst. The relief was immediate and she was back to normal within a month.

That's great, did she have any bulging discs too? And did she have to stay in hospital after op? I'm wondering if they will operate because it's so small.

She did have a bulging disc. She was unable to walk for more than a few yards before the operation. She had a night in hospital. Had the op privately. Have you spoken to a spinal surgeon to talk about your options?

Ok, no not yet, I'm wait8ng on physio she had to talk to her senior and now her senior is telling her to talk to the specialist so I've just been waiting, I couldn't walk and was using crutches, the nerve pain seems to have settled but I'm left with quite bad lower back aching which I didn't have at the beginning so I'm not sure if its due the the cyst or disc or just from resting so much because I couldn't walk, but I've also had a hacking cough so could be that. I just want to start doing strength exercises and get mobile again.
