Baby reflux

Hi,
My baby who is 2 months old has been having reflux and the health visitor just wants to put him on omeprazole but I'm really not keen as it's not licensed for use on children and I believe it can affect their absorption of minerals and nutrients.
I've gone dairy free and this seems to have helped a little bit, but wondering if there is any tips out there that might help deal with the reflux!
I'm not sure if my baby has a tongue tie and if this would impact the reflux at all? See photo

Bump. My baby is similar and going dairy free has helped with painful wind. Feeding less and more often has helped with the reflux as well.

Why don't you ask if they can try gaviscon infant first ? I would only worry about omeprazole though if it was long term which it won't be maybe a few weeks or a month or two

HV can't prescribe, need to talk to your GP first but I'd be surprised if they didn't try gaviscon first.

They grow out of it.

They'll grow out of it as the ring of muscle which joins the oesophagus to the stomach develops more.

Be careful OP. Making a significant change in your diet now could put you at risk of running low/short on essential vitamins, minerals and trace elements
