13 year old laser hair removal?

Hi all looking for some advice, 13 year old DD is in the throws of puberty. Just started periods this year, usual developments (skin erupting, normal body changes) She devolved upper lip hair a few years ago which she has been removing with hair removal cream however on hols I have noticed she has long thick dark hairs under her chin (area between the chin and neck) I suffered this too (pcos diganosed) so assuming she will have the same fate? We're very open about hair/body stuff. She hasn't mentioned that she's noticed/feels conscious of this. Do I mention it? I didn't have the benefit of someone helping me with this and it's something I hid/shaved/plucked/felt mortified about for years until I finally had laser hair removal and it changed my life (literally) should I mention it? And would it be way too early for laser? Also would you consider making a docs appt? I'm thinking it's too early as her periods are not regular just yet (only started June this year) I just don't want her to through the crap I went through until my mid 20s 😣

@89redballoons We have very similar stories 🩷 I went through life thinking I would be infertile and we were 'surprised' when I became pregnant at 30. I think I was probably at the lower end of the scale as my symptoms presented themselves as lots of excess hair (everywhere not just face) and skin issues (acne and allergic reactions) but regular periods. Still the knocks my confidence took permeates ever so slightly. It's weird to think I am looking forward to menopause in some way of that makes sense? Maybe I'll feel differently once I am in the throws of it x

@Nottodaty you sound like a great mum and on it ❤️ As I've got older I realised how insane it is how little we are educated about our bodies. It's moved on slightly (my poor mum thinking she was dying 1st period) to me not telling my mum when I got my period to my daughter regularly showing me her underwear and asking if it's normal 😂

You and I are honestly PCOS twins!

I had/have mild-ish symptoms too, never struggled with weight gain, it was mainly the hair that bothered me. My cycles were pretty irregular after birth control until I had DC1, who I conceived on something like day 80 of my cycle so a complete surprise but without any medical intervention.

Sending love, I know how it feels, and it's so nice that you can hopefully help your daughter not to have the same experience.
