I do think the Pride of Britain awards is a good thing.
However, I'm sick of seeing photos of celebs (many z list). Falling out of there obviously drunk.
It's just an excuse for many of them to get seen and get pissed. Really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

So, like every awards ceremony then? Why would you expect these vacuous idiots to behave any different at this one?

Why? As I said, they’re vacuous idiots who are only there for exposure, not because they give a shit about the recipients of the awards.

I thought exactly the same thing. It's such a bizarre concept.

Possibly, although awards ceremonies like these rely on ‘famous’ people attending. And those people wouldn’t attend unless there was booze on tap…

Surely they can get a higher calibre of "celebrity".
Some of the stories are so heartbreaking, just makes me annoyed really :)

I just don’t think many higher calibre celebrities would attend, sadly. You’re right about the stories - I follow little Florrie Bark and was so chuffed to see her win an award. Try not to focus on the idiots, they aren’t worth it.
