To be really worried about SMILE laser eye surgery?

Hi

I am booked for SMILE laser eye surgery. My consultant has deemed me suitable and discussed the potential side effects etc. I felt so sure after this that it's what I wanted but now having read up on it more I'm so worried about the risk of my eyes worsening again and needing glasses full time and not being able to wear contacts - so essentially £5k worse off and in a worse position due to no contacts. Also worried about dry eye but this is less of a risk with SMILE.

Anyone able to help ease my fears? Also, I can't find out anywhere if contacts are a no no after SMILE surgery? So if eye sight reverted would glasses be the only option ?

I had laser eye surgery 16 years ago.

No contact lens or glasses since, zero problems.

Best 3.5k I ever spent!
