To take an open bottle?

I recently went on a very special long haul holiday and brought back a bottle of liqueur from the country we visited. Me and DH opened it last week and had some.

I only got one bottle because of baggage allowance and didn't want to carry loads more stuff.

We've got a family visit coming up this weekend and thought it would be nice to take it to share, as it's quite unique, but not sure if it's the done thing to take a bottle we've already opened??

It's about two thirds full, is that OK? Or should we just buy a bottle of nice wine instead?

wine AND the liquor, I’d say.

Well it's family and you're taking it to give people a taste. It's not like it's a friend's dinner party and you're giving it to them as a gift.

It's fine.

Or are your family rather formal as it is a question that wouldn't even n enter my head if I wanted to take it to a family get together.

Bring both!

Haha, thank you, I don't know why I didn't think of taking both 😂I'll do that!

You're taking it to let them taste and enjoy with you; not as a gift for them to have and hold. It's fine I'd say, I've done it before and seen it done.
