I am so sad to be writing this.
my DD14 was grabbed through her clothes on her vagina by another male. She said it hurt. Sadly she has had a person that witnessed this completely down play it and even place Balme on her.
she has told me this and is struggling. She places blame on herself for not being able to say no in the moment - which I have told her is not her fault she didn't expect that to happen because it is not right.
she froze in fear but then was able to remove herself.
she doesn't wish to report this as she is scared. But now she has told me and I have confirmed that it is sexual assault she has said she's relieved but it has made her realise it which is a bit of a shock. I am talking to her and reassuring her. I'm not putting pressure on her to report but iv said that we can if she wishes or we can leave it with safety measures in place and no matter what she will never see him again as I will protect her. She was told by others it wasn't sexual assault so she didn't believe it.
how can I help her through this ? And to not blame herself
