I think the Premiers have the measure of how relevant the Australian population thinks the Monarchy are to everyday Aussies. I think the late Queen held a spot in people's hearts but now she has passed I dont think anyone likes Charles or really cares about him here in Australia - and it isnt really just a short flight to Canberra - probably an overnight visit when other more important things are happening.
