I have been revising for this interview for weeks, stressing and today is the day.. this a more senior role and I got asked do you think you would manage in this position with more responsibility, speaking up etc etc and do you know what I said?!

I think I'd be okay because I'd have to be!!!

Seriously how badly can I mess up

Back home and feeling absolutely rubbish, really wanted this job 😫😫

I think that shows confidence!

Don't stress. It's done now so put it out of your mind.

neverstartingstory · 14/10/2024 15:56

I actually quite like that as an answer!

rainfallpurevividcat · 14/10/2024 15:57

Yes I think that's ok. Did you elucidate after?

OnlyFannys · 14/10/2024 15:58

It's an honest answer tbh, when we get more responsibility we adapt to it and that's how we learn and develop. It might not have the flair in the phrasing they were looking for but they may admire your honesty 😉

JMSA · 14/10/2024 16:08

It wasn't a bullshitty answer. I like it!
Best of luck and let us know how it goes Smile

I was expecting worse, it’s fine. You could have said ‘I dunno, maybe’ that would have been terrible. But ultimately you just said ‘yes’

Leopardprintlover101 · 14/10/2024 16:26

That sounds like you are someone who can step up to the plate!

Try not to worry too much - the best thing to be in an interview is yourself. If you aren’t, then the role and/or team may not be for you. Remember that you are also interviewing them to see if it’s a team you would happy being part of. Things work out as they should. Have faith!

Enoughwiththisshit · 14/10/2024 16:29

I like that answer - it demonstrates a no-nonsense, just-get-on-with it approach. It suggests you aren't afraid of rising to a challenge.

Good luck!

Ladyoftheapple · 14/10/2024 19:58

Just to safe this is in a patient facing role so think my answer sounds terrible for this 😫
