I'm from England originally. I was working abroad for a long time.

I moved back recently to work, and for a family reason. I probably won't stay here forever. Maybe for two to three years max.

Do any of you think that England is a bit boring?

Every street, wherever you go,
has the exact same shops.

The Weather is bad. People are miserable. When you go to groups, people are so serious.

It just seems so dull and lifeless

I think people’s attitudes skew towards the negative that’s for sure. I live here but am Australian and I can definitely see the difference.

I don’t think the weather helps OP - we live in one of the loveliest city’s in the UK that has wall to wall stuff going on all year - but even here on a dull and drizzly Wednesday ( as it is today) it can seem a bit crap - I know we need rain to avoid situations like the southern med has but we get an awful lot of it for a lot of the year - and whilst some seem to hate it personally I feel better about most things with plenty of sun regularly . I just have more ‘zing’ - it’s also easier to plan stuff

I do like England and I very much like the seasons, how the daylight hours change, the variable weather, the cities, the countryside, coasts, historical buildings, modern architecture, galleries, theatres, shops, restaurants, diverse population. There is a lot to like.
