Handhold here. How far along are you? I had sickness throughout my pregnancy and I wouldn't do it again for anything. Can you keep anything down at all food or drink?

CornishTeaTime · 13/10/2024 23:23

Ginger tea and ginger biscuits helped me. My sickness came in the afternoons at work. But the about 2 things really helped

BibbityBobbityToo · 13/10/2024 23:27

Not much help for tonight but have you tried 'seabands', the anti sickness acupuncture things you wear on your wrists?

All I can suggest for the here and now is try sitting upright and sip on iced water?

Bookishnerd · 13/10/2024 23:36

I lived on sea bands, ginger biscuits and ice lollies. Good luck OP

JKDcot · 13/10/2024 23:37

Thank you for your kind messages. I have an anti sickness band from my last pregnancy which I think is helping. And I’m trying just to nibble on some dry crackers. Just feel like I’m swaying on a boat

@Devilsmommy I’m sorry to hear you had such a hard first pregnancy. That’s why I put off even trying for a second for years.

Opening the fridge door used to make me puke when pregnant.
Poor you op hope it passes soon x

MSLRT · 13/10/2024 23:50

It’s the worst isn’t it? I would feel better if I could force myself to eat something. Weak tea and toast was all I could manage. Sending courage.

LegoHouse274 · 13/10/2024 23:50

I've had hyperemesis in all three of my pregnancies so totally feel you OP. Have you looked at the Pregnancy Sickness Support charity OP? They are really helpful.

Noseybookworm · 13/10/2024 23:58

Sorry you're feeling so rotten 💐 nibble on some dry crackers and maybe try some ginger tea. Watch something undemanding and hopefully you'll manage to drift off and get some sleep

It’s so horrible. I feel sick and dizzy and can’t lay down. I’m so tired I could cry.

Been there. Your not alone.

Can you kneel down and lean forward onto your elbows see if that helps? Obviously depends on how pregnant/flexible you are

Can you try finger or peppermint? Duck a mint ? Chew a piece of gum

Suck on ice

Crying? Have you tried it. It can help

Music

Keep your feet cold ... so I'm told

Rub your temples gently

Helllooo · 14/10/2024 00:12

Fresh air helped me. I found When I was warm, the nausea increased. I had the heating off and windows open

BabyCloud · 14/10/2024 00:12

When you can’t sleep rest.

Does lying propped up help? On your side? Find distractions listening to white noise or a podcast? Make sure you drink some water too.

Seek advice tomorrow.

Extra strong mints work miracles with morning sickness but mine was quite mild. Anything is worth trying though…. Hope you feel better soon.
