Yes absolutely

go Keto. Kills the hunger dead.

Tattletwat · 13/10/2024 15:25

It's possible but why the certain date?

Set smaller goals and when you achieve set new ones.

Doggymummar · 13/10/2024 15:27

4 stone in two months, not likely if sorry to say. 17 is more achievable

BeautyPageantDropout · 13/10/2024 15:27

that would be 4 stone in two months?

Losing so much weight that quickly could leave you looking a bit haggard.

itwasnevermine · 13/10/2024 15:29

I've lost two stone in 8 weeks on Mounjaro, I think 3 stone would be a push but doable depending on how you do it - but it must be sustainable.

Poetnojo · 13/10/2024 15:29

So just shy of 4 stone in 2 months? I think it's unlikely, even with keto or keto with ADF. Maybe 2 stone off by then would be more achievable.

PineappleCoconut · 13/10/2024 15:29

A stone every two weeks is unlikely, even on a VLCD.
But regardless, whatever method, if you start now you will weigh less by then.

OneWarmOpalHare · 13/10/2024 15:44

I have an event that day

I have an event that day

It's very daft to try and lose weight for a one day event.

You need to do it for long term reasons.

OneWarmOpalHare · 13/10/2024 15:55

Obviously I want to lose weight for other reasons but would just rather be around that weight

TheGoingGetsEasyAfterItGetsTough · 13/10/2024 15:58

4 stone in 2months? Not unless you're planning to go on a hunger strike. Not even if you're on weightloss injections.

HeChokedOnAChorizo · 13/10/2024 15:58

I lost just over 2 stone in 2 months, that was through the misery diet, I really wasn’t eating and exercising loads everyday to get through the heartache. After 2 months the weight loss slowed down loads.

fast forward a few years and I now have gallstones which can be attributed to sudden extreme weight loss so be careful OP

RobertaFirmino · 13/10/2024 15:59

I would probably start that 'princessing' they talk about on the Style and Beauty board too. I mean, you might already be very polished and if so, I apologise but doing all that nails, face pack stuff will help keep your mind off food while you diet. Books too.

LadyGrey33 · 13/10/2024 16:16

Absolutely! A colleague of mine lost 3 stone in 6 weeks! She looks fab, !

Good luck 🍀

Bigearringsbigsmile · 13/10/2024 16:18

One stone maybe but4??? Completely unrealistic

ThereItIs1 · 13/10/2024 16:19

I’ve lost 17lbs in three weeks on ozempic, so I say yes probably with support. There’s no way in hell I’d have achieved this without the injections, but not feeling hungry so I can eat 1100 calories a day and feel fine, and having my metabolism increased by them has helped beyond measure. I started at 18 stone so very similar to you. I spoke to my GP and am doing this with their support which is the only way I’d recommend to do it so you know it’s safe x

youve987456 · 13/10/2024 16:21

Totally doable but remember that weight loss is mostly a result of diet changes rather than exercise. I'm another keto advocate. Once you lose the carb cravings the hunger goes.

Mebebecat · 13/10/2024 16:22

No. Give it a go though and you will hopefully lose two stone and that is still on a vlc diet. And by Feb you can have lost the four stone.

Crazycatlady79 · 13/10/2024 16:26

For weight loss of this magnitude in such a short space of time, I'd say fuck thinking about exercise and just concentrate on starving yourself.
As someone in recovery from ED (Anorexia, then Bulimia), I could give you all the tips under the sun for drastic weight loss, but I kind of want to shake people who are desperate to lose weight for 'an event'.
Whilst it sounds like losing weight would definitely be beneficial for your health in the long run, what is striving to lose nigh on 4 stone going to do to your emotional well-being?

catgirl1976 · 13/10/2024 16:29

Doable with Mounjaro. Not doable through diet and exercise unless you have insane will power and even then.. probably not. Set a smaller goal of weight loss injections are not for you - it’s a marathon not a sprint

Ansjovis · 13/10/2024 16:38

If you want to lose the weight and keep it off you need to make slow and sustainable changes. Going 'big bang' and drastically altering your lifestyle may make the weight come off quicker but it'll just go back on again because the way you achieved it is not sustainable long term.

ThianWinter · 13/10/2024 16:39

Try the New You meal replacement plan. It's a VLCD but people have lost loads of weight doing it. You do 12 weeks on, 2 weeks off, 12 weeks on etc until you're at the weight you want to be. The weight just rolls off in the first few weeks.

DefenderOfTheDry · 13/10/2024 16:39

I think it's possible to lose a significant amount of weight in that time, yes.

I would start with a PT who will do you and exercise plan, show you how to use weights and formulate you a bespoke diet plan.
Make sure you're walking 10k steps a day alongside it.
For me weekly checks in with my PT are essential for accountability and motivation.
There's something about having someone who is expereinced and qualified telling me what to do with it all that gives me the confidence to really go for it. I'd tried doing my own thing but I always ended up going off track as I wasn't 100% sure I was doing the right thing and I found a lot of the info out there quite contradictory.

I didn't have as much as you to lose, but a PT has been transformational.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/10/2024 16:40

4st in 2mths no

But 2st yes possible if strict and will make a diff to how you feel and look

um….are you sure? And how did she do that?

@OneWarmOpalHare i hope you do well. It’s taken me about 5 months to lose two stone but I was happier plodding along.
