Is the weather bad where you are?

It's been raining with very high wind here for the last couple of days. North west

Never the wrong weather only the wrong clothes..

I've been wearing a thick padded long coat with a hood, boots and I've been carrying an umbrella.

I still noticed that the weather is extra bad!

I live in the north west and it’s been fine…? Sunny with showers, crisp autumn weather.

Are you on the coast, or inland?

It rained where I am in the north West all day today

Nope. Yesterday was lovely, very sunny and today not too bad.

Ladybug6757755 · 12/10/2024 20:48

North Yorkshire here… today was horrendous…. Lashed it down all day , windy and cold.. then the sun broke through but bitter still

Roundthemoon · 12/10/2024 20:49

I'm freezing

Wow what a boring negative post! It’s autumn! The weather is always all over the place…

BashfulClam · 12/10/2024 20:51

We had hail and torrential rain showers today. I’m sure I read we are getting the tail of Hurricane Milton.

Mademetoxic · 12/10/2024 20:53

So hurricane Milton and Helene have just battered Florida, we are very lucky in the UK.

Ryeman · 12/10/2024 20:54

If by ‘lately’ you mean all of 2024 so far then yes! But just typical October now really - sunny yesterday, rain today followed by some sun

Even for autumn , I noticed it's worse than usual.

I'm not being negative. I'm concerned.

I'm wondering is it a storm. The wind is very high

It's hardly abnormal weather for October though, it's often windy and stormy at this time of year. When I look back on my FB memories, it's about 50/50 sunshine and storms.

I'm NW too and apart from Monday, it's been lovely all week - the wind/rain has only been since lunchtime and it's supposed to be dry again tomorrow :)

The rain today seemes different than normal rain.

It was torrential.

I see online that they think the UK might get hit this week by the tail - end of more than one hurricane

The key imo is lots of cups of tea!! We are sea front North East. We holiday regularly in Scotland so current weather at home is quite tropical in comparison!!

It was torrential but honestly, I don't think it's any different to any other October.

If I look back on my Facebook memories, '23 was glorious sunshine, in '22 it absolutely pissed it down, '21 was wind and cloud, and again in '20 it was pissing it down with rain, lol.

EDIT: I work outdoors with dogs so weather features highly on my social media, I don't just keep track of the weather for no reason Grin

'Sunshine and storms' would be a good name for a book!

Or a band, lol.

Honestly, as someone who works outdoors, this isn't abnormal - I think we just forget what the weather can be like. The wind is properly howling though, I'm very glad I'm inside Grin

Same @Roundthemoon - I'm pet-sitting tonight and they have an extension area with glass doors/walls - it's SO loud! We're all feeling very cosy indoors, lol.
