Vinted sellers prices for new items

Have to say this is lighthearted/not a big issue of mine 😁

Regularly sell/sometime buy items on Vinted. I can not get my head around the price people want for items that are brand new. I get you probably want as much money as possible when it's still new. However so often people ask for the full value price/£1 or £2 cheaper. The issue is with the fee plus postage that buyers would have pay more than you would in a shop. Hence I imagine these items just do not sell?! Or do they? Are there people happy to buy the 'new' second hand items for a higher price and no return policy?

I get you can put offers in. I have done this often but most of the time these are rejected. I am beginning to feel like I am missing something as it is fairly common. AIBU?

I am actually confused are people paying these prices? 🤯
The only time I could understand is when the item is rare or completely sold out.
