Action heros are really rather shit?

I'm watching Extraction 2 after just finishing Extraction.

In both movies, he was shot pretty much 10 minutes in, and he keeps losing the people he is supposed to be rescuing. Hundreds of people died in missions that were supposed to be quietly in and out and he has thus far destroyed two cities, and I'm not even to the end of the movie.

Ditto Taken. How many times does that "professional" allow himself or his family to be kidnapped, exactly? And does he need to make so much noise while rescuing them given that he is a trained spy/assassin?

Pretty much every action hero ever in the history of cinema gets shot multiple times and racks up dozens of kills within the first hour. They all seem pretty shit at what they do considering their job is to be quiet and not get caught.

John Wick is awesome, though. I mean, he does get shot a lot, but he has a dangerous job. And he kills a lot of people, but that’s on purpose.

I've never seen John Wick. I'll have to add to my list. I'm not hopeful he'll be decent at what he does. I've yet to find an action hero that can actually do their job.
