There has been a local job opening in a very similar field of work I currently do.
One of the employees of this job knows me not in a friend kind of way but in passing and chat here and there and has suggested I go for this role and said I would be good at because XYZ which I am flattered about so I mentioned it to dp.
He said it was a bad idea as have only been in my current role a year and I could progress in it whereas this one that's come up I would stay at the same level which I completely agree with. And plus my thought are there is an employee there who I can't stand. Think creepy vibes, higher position, boasty etc. which most definitely puts me off the job as I would more than likely have to work alongside them.
