I’m well aware that this is none of my business, and I have absolutely no intention of doing anything other than indulging in a bit of speculative pondering with you delightful lot! Anyone fancy playing detective? (Yes I probably should have better things to do)

~ A word of warning: if curiosity and a bit of harmless nosiness aren't your thing, this may not be the thread for you! ~

So, picture the scene... It's around 3am and I’m woken by a child shouting ‘Mum!’ My first thought was that it was DC, but no, they were both sound asleep. I then realised the sounds of doors slamming and shouting I'd been 'dreaming' were actually coming from outside. I tried to go back to bed and mind my own business (honest!) but after about 10 minutes curiosity well and truly got the better of me, and I got back up to take a peek.

Outside a house across the road, a man was struggling to shut a car boot, whilst nother man went to and fro into the house. I'm guessing both of these based on build. They were both wearing hoods so really identity unknown. The 3 year old who lives in the house was watching them (presumably the person who shouted) and before long his teen brother also came outside. Despite the too-ing and fro-ing noone was carrying things to the car or anything. If I had to guess I'd say the 3 that definitely live at the house (mum and 2 smalls) were in their PJ's. I felt bad for prying so I went back to bed. It was a further 20 minutes of door (house and car) slamming and shouting (by this point I was back in the window, honestly they were being so loud I was wide awake and was hoping to see them leave so I could just go back to sleep) before eventually everyone got in the car and shut all the doors. Then the teen went back into the house. I thought he might have been sent to turn off the lights as several were on but no, mum yelled 'Hurry up!!' and once he was back in the car they left. Must have been about 335. They left their regular car on the drive. Could have been in a taxi, couldn't really see.

I assumed they were headed off on a holiday, and thought no more of it. Annoyingly I couldn't get back to sleep 😫. But I've just noticed that last night, their curtains were left wide open and several lights on. Not unusual I s'pose to leave a light on if you're off on hols. Yet today...curtains drawn, house in darkness.

Curious, don’t you think?
