Do any of you ever come away from a night out with a friendship group and feel a bit flat, like you're not quite part of it?

I was on a night out recently and felt a teeny bit like I was the one left out. Nothing I can put my finger on just general feeling of being slightly on the outskirts of the group.

It's making me want to not bother going along to the next one as there's no point in going if it makes me feel a bit crap after.

Can anyone relate?

Yes. I have no answers for you. It’s so hard to back yourself and know whether you’re making things up or not. But I just got this niggling feeling and had to trust my intuition.

I’d often come away feeling like I wasn’t even there because they’d just look right through me. When I did eventually pull away nobody reached out to me or questioned it which helped me at least understand that I hadn’t been making it up.

This is exactly how I feel! Just a gut feeling. I'm just going to take a step back from it to protect my own peace.
