Travelodge

Hi, I can’t see information on their websites, but does anyone happen to know if you can hire a travelodge room for the day? We need to spend a whole day in a town with not much to do and it would be useful if we could hire the room for the day as a base. Thank you.

In theory no problem but would you have to do two nights to get the full day?

Candaceowens · 02/10/2024 20:02

They're already cheap enough, you'd have to pay for the night. Why can't you just spend time in coffee shops, library etc?

Closest you'd get would be early check in (12pm) for a one night booking.

Try dayuse.co.uk

i dont suppose the price would be much different booking an overnight stay depending on the day of the week, They'd loose the revenue of an overnight day so it probably wouldn't incentivise them to have it for a day rate. Also it would depend when you need to access it. They do early check in for a small fee, which could mean you can use the room from mid morning. Would that be of any use for your plans?

I'd rather mooch around a dull town than sit in a dull hotel room. Buy a newspaper and take a paperback, tour every cafe and pub that looks decent, find the local library and museum, walk the length and breadth of the park...

Are you having a secret liaison?

You just phone up and ask for a day room. Loads of hotels do this. I'm surprised more people don't know about it.
