to be annoyed with this customer service?

I ordered one of those 6kg heavy weighted blankets from Amazon. It arrived and was leaking glass shards - faulty on arrival. I tried to return it via Amazon. Was only given 1 return method as I didn’t purchase directly from Amazon, but from one of their marketplace sellers.

The only return method available was to take it to an Evri parcel shop. I took it to 3 stores who all refused to accept my parcel due to issues with their system/printer. I took photos of this as proof. Informed Amazon who keep telling me to return the parcel - it’s like they don’t understand that I have tried and their courier of choice keeps saying no. It’s a heavy parcel too and I don’t drive, it’s difficult for me to keep walking further afield to try more shops. I can’t get taxis up and down the country to locate an Evri store that is working as advertised. Aibu to be annoyed with their customer service? Not once have they provided a resolution to the Evri shop’s errors, just telling me to keep trying different stores. There aren’t even that many around me to keep trying!

Yeah that is pretty rubbish. I would keep complaining and say it’s no longer practical to keep trying new stores on foot. Maybe even ham it up and say all the lifting is bad for your back or something.

Google: Call amazon customer service number

And speak to a human being, I had a nightmare with a very large item that the return service arranged wouldn't take as it was too big! The effort I went to to lug it there and home was not fun. They said they would tell the seller to organize a collection instead at their cost.

I think it's beyond awful that a company as big as Amazon allow broken or wrong items to be sent out and then have the buyer run around trying to get it back to them. It's one thing to have a quick and easy delivery process, but it should go the other way too.

I am absolutely fuming. They have now emailed me saying they’re sorry I’m unhappy with…a random item I ordered yesterday - that isn’t the subject of the return! How have they managed that - they can’t even match up their own order numbers and items. It’s like speaking to a robot.

Just ring the store back tomorrow and ask if their printer's working yet? Or use an InPost locker if there's one nearby. Then you don't have to deal with anyone in person.

I just called Amazon and they sent me a refund and gave me a voucher as compensation! Night and day experience compared to their online staff.
