To still think this is fungal?

intense itching between breasts, worse when being active

used OTC daktacort for a week, didn't cure it

GP said doesn't sound fungal and to use Eurax

Did a workout this morning, when I took off my sports bra it was very red, rough (skin wasn't rough before workout!) with actual sweat beads dripping and sooooo itchy (I'm not a sweater!)

sounds fungal right? Eurax isn't doing much

anyone had this before and can recommend something?

Is it a new sports bra? Is there anything in it you could have developed an allergy to?

AngryBird6122 · 01/10/2024 15:19

@nocoolnamesleft no I have had it years. I wash regularly and my bras so it's not hygiene (or I would be v surprised!)

I can literally go for a walk and in between my boobs starts to get itchy :(

Go to your GP - itching around the boobs is a red flag for breast cancer. Very unlikely but best to be checked properly.

Thanks @Itsmahoneybaloney I will have to go back if it doesn't stop anyway as it's doing my head in! The ithcing is only when I am active though,

I'd still go, sooner rather than later. I'm speaking from experience.

It could be some sort of heat/sweat rash if it's worse when you're active and wearing a (presumably) synthetic fibre sports bra. You can try using a medicated powder beforehand and see if it helps.

Or you could try OTC Hydrocortisone (often called sting and rash cream and, for some reason, sometimes next to the sun cream) or Eumovate which you have to ask for in the pharmacy.

Why not speak to your pharmacist?

AngryBird6122 · 01/10/2024 15:27

Thanks @ForPearlViper I went to pharmacy first which is when they gave me the Daktacort. Ok sweat rash might be an idea. I have never had it before though, it's so weird!

Not 100% not!
