Half way through cooking a chicken crown (never done one before) and the chicken juices have gone. Cannot be rescued? Shall I pour some gravy over it for the second half of the cooking time?? Please help. I’ve been very U!

You could put a bit of water in the bottom of the pan. Just to keep things moist. Also cover with foil. I wouldn’t put gravy in. Maybe stock.

Sherry / white wine rescues most things like this. Make your own gravy.

On the chicken or in me so I don’t care so much?

Always cook chicken with a cup of water in the tray and some onions in our case.

Wine in the gravy and you 😅

Chicken /turkey crowns can be quite dry . I used to cook a Turkey crown sometimes at Christmas .A good recipe was some water at the bottom ,and plenty of buttered foil.Maybe a little water (maybe 1/3 to 1/4 pint) at the bottom and a sheet of well buttered foil like a tent over the top (leaving a vent) would help
