Are there suddenly way more flashing ads on MN?

Has the format of adverts on MN changed recently because it seems like there are so many more flashing adverts distracting me while I'm trying to read. I'm finding the user experience much less enjoyable.

Yup. It's slwoign my scrolling down on my phone too. Making mn really difficult to access.

I also really dislike the way they sneak adds into the newsfeed. I keep opening them thinking 'that sounds like an interesting post: 🙄

I've just had to block them all because I can't use the site otherwise. I use uBlock origin. Same with the Guardian, though weirdly the hugely intrusive ads in the Guardian are all FOR the Guardian. Bewildering decision.

Me too . One for Siemens right now which is driving me insane

Same for me, so irritating!

I notice ads the odd time I use my phone for MN but I use an ad-blocker on my laptop so never see any ads on here.
