Vasectomy reversal success stories anyone?

DH had a vasectomy 10 years ago with his pervious wife as they had 2 children very close together ( now 9 and 10 )

We have been married 5 years and I’m 39 and desperate for my own family

What are the chances of the reversal being a success when done quite a while ago?

BUPA says that the chance of pregnancy following vasectomy reversal after 9-14 years is around 40-44% so it’s not impossible.

It’s worth considering though that the NHS do not typically do reversals, and also factoring in that maternal age plays a big part in the chance of falling pregnant.

My friend was in a very similar position to you. He had his reversed about 9yrs after his last child. This was about 6yrs ago, she’s now 42 and they haven’t had any luck so far.

I have a child of my own of 18 and fell quickly first time around but this www a long time ago obviously

All you can do is try OP, the chances of success are what they are, the chances when not trying are 0. If it’s really what you both want then it’s worth a try but it is worth thinking about the impact of pregnancy at 39 on all of you, including potential baby, and if it’s what you all want most then give it a try x

I know someone who married a man 25 years older than her. He had a vasectomy a long time ago and has grown up children.

He has his vasectomy reversed about 3 years ago and they now have a baby
