Completely changed your career...?

I mean like completely left one sector that you'd spent significant time training for and working in and just left to do something totally different. And if you did, how did you decide to take the jump? Regrets?

I'm in education (FE) My head is saying don't throw all the time and money I've spent training down the drain, but my heart is saying, I don't know how much longer I can do this. I can consider other roles in the sector but I just feel a bit stifled and sometimes fantasise about doing something totally different. I'm 40..so a while of work ahead of me. Would love some perspectives really if anyone has done it... ❤️

I know a former teacher who stayed in education but is now in a non teaching role (she works for a company that provide home schooling materials). She is FAR happier.

I left teaching for the civil service after 20 years in education.
