Any Civil Servants here? Pay rise question..

Shamelessly posting here for traffic!

Any civil servants here who know when we will receive the pay rise for 24/25? I’m new to the service and can’t find the answers anywhere on the intranet so I’ve come to trusty mumsnet! Will it be paid at the end of this month?

It depends on what department you're in. My dept haven't agreed a percentage yet. My partner's department have a percentage offered to the union and they are in the process of it being agreed/not agreed. If it is agreed earliest it will be paid is end of November I believe. However, I'm not in the union so I'm not 100% certain. If you know who is your rep speak with them. They may be able to help more.

Depends on your department and what stage they are at in the pay process. If there is nothing on your intranet then I suspect they are still early in the process.

It's unlikely any will see a rise this month

Yes it depends on your department although I know it’s been delayed for everyone this year. In my department we are meant to get the pay rise from 1 August but the offer has only just gone to the trade unions, so I wouldn’t expect the pay rise to come in until November or December (backdated to August).

Thanks so much for the replies. Makes sense that it wouldn’t be processed yet given how little information there is available. I’m not yet in a union but thinking I should be so will look into that later 😊

I’m Home Office and we were told end of Novembers salary, which would be handy
