Shall I reach out or just leave it?

Saw an old friend who I used to go on play dates with as our DD as same age and from around birth-3 years, we were in regular contact.

We then had a very long period of no contact and just didn’t see each other for 2 years. She had another baby and both busy with work, just drifted apart.

I bumped into her at the weekend and we got chatting. She said me and my DD should come with them to a Halloween party. I said that would be nice for a catch up. She said her phone had died but she couldn’t remember her number off by heart to put it into my phone.

She knows a relative of mine so said she’d message the relative to get my number the same day we saw each other. A few days have gone by and she hasn’t tried to message

Shall I reach out on Facebook or just leave it? I don’t get why she asked me if she didn’t want to go ahead with the plans. I know it’s not Halloween for a while, but she said she’d message the same day

Leave it.
she knows how to get in touch with you if she wants to…but I also struggle to believe that she didn’t know her own phone number, that screams brush off to me.

True. I’m not sure why she asked if she didn’t want it go ahead. It’s a shame as her DD and mine were chatting away and getting on still

Absolutely leave it. If she actually wants to get in touch she will.

I’ve no idea why people do this, it’s nuts.

Reminds me of an episode of Friends when Chandler absolutely could not stop himself saying he would call women he’d been on a date with when he had zero intention of doing so,

It’s almost pathological.
