Elderly parent was rushed into hospital last week. Diagnosed with sepsis and kidneys have taken a knock. However this is night 7 and still in an acute ward not really any sign of them doing anything.

On oxygen and fluids and antibiotics.
Have found the bug that's caused it.

Obs are good although oxygen helping etc.
Egrf(kidneys) is literally 10 and saying doesn't need dialysis...yet! Catheter in and hasn't been able to get out of bed since getting there. Too weak.

What are they waiting for?
Very sleepy at times but then good form.

Infection markers still 200. Although down from 400 in a week?

Sorry to hear that. My Dad recently had acute kidney injury and recovered so much of his function. Hang in there, it's still possible for your parent to make a good recovery. The uncertainty is awful though, really thinking of you and sending a handhold.
