To not take in parcels for neighbour anymore?

I’ve taken in multiple, they take ages to collect them. I of course knock and bring them over but they don’t always answer.

In fact I’ve noticed a couple of times they are in and just don’t answer the door to the delivery guy. Then they of course next on my door (our front doors are at the side and face each other - so very close). It literally just happened, they are at home and I’ve decided I’m done with it.

I never take in parcels for neighbours.

Just put it on their doorstep and don’t take any more.

And then what if it gets robbed?

Not your problem if they didn't answer the door?

They should take it in, if it goes AWOL then 😐

We're buying a drop box for our garden , following a recent spell of doorstep thefts. It also stops us bothering the neighbours. Suggest they get one, too.

This sounds tedious. No confrontation required. Put a small sign on your door saying you don't take parcels in for other people, where drivers who knock to deliver will see. If anyone knocks anyway, point to the sign. Don't take the current parcel round. Let them come round for it, and they'll see your sign - as a bonus. All sorted.

So cheeky ain't it! I have neighbours we don't get along with, constantly have their parcels sent to my address when they was at home. The driver from Evri would come and complain and even say himself they are home just not answering as he can hear someone inside. I said to his face yep they are in anytime you come and drop their parcels here 2 minutes later the girl knocks in her pyjamas! I think they have bailiffs or something as they never open their door but are home! I stopped taking them the last time the Evri man knocked I explained I will not take anymore, to which it was okay and understood! Neighbours are cheeky, and take the piss!

Why would you be unreasonable, it's entirely up to you if you accept parcels

Lilacblu · 01/11/2025 08:06

I totally agree with.. don't take them in.. sorted!!
