I just want to know how I can use a dating app without anybody finding me (ex or exes friends) we only split a few weeks ago and I don’t want anything but a bit of attention would be nice to build my confidence back up.

Unfortunately you can’t, other than if you changes your location & distance on it which might exclude people from your local area from coming up as options but some people will have no limit on their distance settings so you’d each still come up.

No way to avoid this.

You’ve said you’ve only been split a matter of weeks and you’re not actually looking for anything just some attention to boost your confidence. You’re going about healing from this relationship the wrong way.

You shouldn’t be relying on ego strokes and attention from strangers to make you feel better. Take time to be single and alone and work on your self confidence rather than leaning on what other people think about you or offer you.

Depends on the app. Some, Tinder I think, let you block numbers. But there's no way you could block all their friends.

Yes true, I decided against it
