Not strictly AIBU, but pls could I ask for opinions and experiences of Lewes Old Grammar School? Moving to the area from Norfolk next year and wondering if it is worth it relative to local state alternatives? Need to apply soon as DC year 6, but not able to visit any time soon!

I haven’t visited but did ring and speak to them. They sound very inclusive and the atmosphere sounds lovely but it is a very small school. Great for education but can make it difficult socially. Lewes looks to be a safe, small town and the school is pretty much in the centre.

I appreciate this is a very late reply, but I thought I'd share our view just in case you are still interested.

our son started in Year 7 last September. He knew nobody, but has settled really well and is incredibly happy. Staff have been very quick to deal with queries, and he is making excellent progress. As the PP said, it is very inclusive, and definitely suits quirky children. As for being school, there are 90 places in a year, so it's not too bad. It seems to be enough, at least at this stage!
