To ask if anyone has turned their life around after hitting 50

And if so how you managed it?

All aspects of my life feel like they need some work (mental wellbeing, health, work). I want to have a nicer home for me and DC but not sure where to start. Would like to get a new job, rebuild social life, adopt a capsule wardrobe etc etc, decorate, make time with DC count.

My 40s were quite a mix emotional ordeals and am feeling like 50 is the catalyst for me getting my arse back into gear and building my life back up again.

So what worked for you - please share!

I rebuilt my social life by going out and joining a lot of groups and starting new hobbies. The rest of it seems harder.

I put a generous amount into an ‘improvement’ category in my budget this summer and have been spending it on these sort of things. On clothes, I’ve had great success with the principle of ‘just try harder.’ I’ve started being much more deliberate about putting together a whole outfit and accessorising it. I haven’t bought much at all, but it has completely changed the way I dress.

The Style and Beauty board may help you with a capsule wardrobe.
