Ryanair no show - will I get charged?

I booked a single flight with Ryanair. Haven't checked in and should've been flying tonight, however I no longer want to go.

Will I get charged for simply not showing up?

You won't get charged but you won't get your money back for your ticket either I wouldn't have thought.

Zanatdy · 16/09/2024 09:28

You lose what you’ve paid but there’s no extra charge for not showing

NeedToChangeName · 16/09/2024 09:28

You've already paid for your ticket

No, you won't get a refund

mychilddeservesaneducation · 16/09/2024 09:28

You won't get a refund but I can't see how they can charge you extra. You can claim back any taxes you paid though if you don't actually fly.

I hope Michael O'Leary never is on or reads MN, don't want to give him ideas.

I've been forced to not show up for a flight before - easyJet don't do transfers (or at least never used to) so I would have to book a return flight to London then separate return flight from London to Newcastle. Once the flight to London was cancelled due to fog so I couldn't get the other flight either. I could only get the money back for the cancelled flight, the other one I just didn't show up for (couldn't even get through to easyJet to cancel before take off so ended up being a no show). This was in the days before online check in was even a thing!
