To let DS10 do a 20 min walk alone

I've started a new job in the office which means I cant drop off DS to his club which he does twice a week. Is it ok to let a 10 year old do a 20 min walk alone? I'll be able to pick him up but it's the getting there that's a problem. We will do the journey walking together a few times so he's confident of the route and he has an AirTag on him and can call me but I'm worried he is too young although he is 11 in a few months so of course starting secondary next year.
We live in london, there's lots of busses but none which actually go to the location so walking or me calling a cab are the only options.

Of course it's fine. He needs to start doing these things at some point.

Absolutely fine - he's got to negotiate getting to secondary next year which no doubt will be a bigger and further away school, so this is a great introduction for him to travelling alone and looking after himself.
