Going back to work after maternity leave

Hey guys ,I'm just wondering what you guys think? I'm heading back to work on a 4 day week after 10 months off having my baby . I have to work 34.5 hours per week. One of the days I have to work an 11 hour shift and 2 of the days an 9 hour shift and my last day is only 5.5 hours. I live 5 mins from work so I have no commute.

I have a cleaner that comes in fortnightly for me and all my food shopping is delivered to my door. i batch cook every few weeks so have minimal cooking. This is my first child so I'm nervous enough about going back to work but I think I'm pretty organised and my partner is fantastic.

But i have had a few of my Mum friends say to me that my hours are really long and I won't be able to cope?? I suppose it's crept into my head and made me more anxious than I was before. Any Mums out there that have dealt with this? Basically I'm panicking I'm going to fall flat on my face 😪

sounds good!
having a minimal commute is brilliant
i think your combo of shifts is really good and you’ll more than be able to manage everything
working FT is not OTT
I’ve always worked FT and out of house
you’ll be fine
best of luck

You’ll be fine. I found my first few days back in the office a bit weird and I missed my baby, but I got used to it. I worked 30 hours but had a commute so time away from the baby was about the same. Besides, if after a few months the hours aren’t right, change them.
