That he bought this car?

My partner decided to buy his dream car (reality dream car not like billionaires dream car) and I really tried to discourage him from it. My manager had the exact same car, it had faults all the time and it’s a known manufacturer fault.

I told him all this and he just said “I know but I don’t care”

And what do you know he’s had it a month and it’s been in the garage with the exact fault I told him it would have. Got it back from the garage and the fault is still there. He’s now using my car and I’m tempted to tell him to fuck off.

You only live once. If he has the means to buy and maintain his dream car then why not? His money, his car, his decision. I do not understand why you are so angry over something that is not your problem.

DD was desperate for a MINI. They are notoriously unreliable but nothing else would do - lo and behold it’s only 5 months old and has already ended up back at the garage but she adores it and that’s what matters.

Get your car back and tell him he has to get a hire car. As long as it's his money and you don't have joint finances, let him get on with it.
