I had booked a return with Ryanair to Brussels, and various accommodations as we tour about around Belgium etc. they just sent me a cancellation, and they don’t have any other flights until Monday.
(From a different airport)
AIBU to want them to pay for flights with a different airline to get me to Brussels? They are really expensive, so I’m reluctant to pay and not get the money back. The accommodation is non-refundable at this point, but I do have travel insurance if we don’t go.
Also, if I take replacement flights to a totally different destination with Ryanair, would my travel insurance be likely to still refund me the original accommodation, or would they feel I caused the non attendance?
Of course the cancellation was sent after customer service hours, so I can’t speak to the airline until the morning.
Flights to Paris/Amsterdam then train/bus to get us back on track are also £££
maybe I just need to accept we are not going and claim the insurance.
