Is this a cold sore on my baby?

Hello,

Is this a cold sore or just a spot? Can babies get spots? I've been googling and I'm worried it's a cold sore. It doesn't seem to be blistered or clustered?

Looks more like a spot to me that’s quite angry/inflamed. Is it bothering him at all? I would keep an eye but definitely looks more like a spot

No @StarLight95 she's fine in herself. Playing and eating as normal. I just noticed it myself and I can be quite anxious with her help so I started panicking a bit

Could it be an insect bite that's become slightly infected?

What is the liklihood that your baby carries the coldsore (herpes) virus? Do you get cold sores? Has anyone with a cold sore been in close contact with him/her?

Definitely looks like a spot to me. My baby used to get them here too.

just looks like a spot to me, like a clogged pore? DS1 had a horrible spot on his cheek over his first christmas, poor wee thing!
