To feel underwhelmed by Lille after visiting Paris recently?

I recently visited Paris again and had an amazing time, as usual. I just got back from Lille, and honestly, I’m feeling a bit underwhelmed. I was expecting a lot more based on the recommendations I received, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. I know Paris and Lille are very different, but I can’t shake the feeling that Lille didn’t compare.

I don't think there's any equivalence really. Paris like London is a world class city. Lille is a provincial city like Leeds maybe. It's not really a city you'd hype up? Nice mini break if you've maybe explored other places in Europe. But deffo tier two
