EBay sellers should be more careful when listing

I have agoraphobia and need to order my furniture online. For the past year I’ve had no table to sit and eat at besides the couch. I am also hosting a friend I know at mine and they will need somewhere to sit and eat at. Last minute I finally bought a second hand good quality wood table that comes apart and goes back together again from eBay and it cost £150 + £75 delivery. I expected them to use a courier. I get a message from them saying there’s been a mistake and they meant to list it for collection or delivery to somewhere within their area over a hundred miles away. They didn’t mention that in their description. Before they refund me I need to reply and explain there’s no way it can be collected. In the mean time I can’t order a table because £200 of my money is essentially held hostage. I am embarrassed to host without somewhere to sit and eat at.

Lots of people don't eat at a table/have a table.
Don't worry about being embarrassed (unless they're snobby)

That is really poor on the seller’s part. Hope you get the money back swiftly.
