Why on earth would anyone buy a ticket?!

From an NBC article:

He said he believes much of the initial interest is credited to Fyre Fest’s notoriety, even if (or, possibly, because) it generates expectations for another catastrophic failure.

“I think there’s a large number of people who want to go to Fyre II because they’re unsure of the outcome, and they would like to have a front-row seat no matter what happens,”

Which is quite sneaky, as he could later argue that this second attempt isn't fraud as people who pay know exactly the situation they're getting into.

Anyone who does stump up the cash knows that their money is going towards repaying the £26m he owes in restitution for his last event, so they clearly won't be getting their money's worth on this event.

Although after the Anna Delvey Dancing with the Stars thing (which I find both hilarious and troubling in equal measures), I'm not surprised he's giving this a go.
