I just want to have a rant and see what others think. I had my car MOT'd and they washed and valeted it. The seats were immaculately clean when I took it in and now they're absolutely covered in glitter which I actually have a phobia of. Aibu to be upset by this?

I'm guessing it was in the car vac from the previous car and fell out onto mine

You should have refused to take your car until they removed the glitter. Now you're in a your word vs. their word situation.

If your car was covered in glitter when you went to pick it up, why didn't you go back into the garage and complain immediately? If you did, what did they say and do? I'm surprised they didn't try to charge you.

It was collected and delivered back to my home address and I didn't inspect it until they'd left.

It’s called sparklaphobia and it’s quite common. My DH has it.

In that case, all you can do is inform them right away of the situation and hope they do the right thing and reclean your car. Did this just happen today? I'm thinking probably not because it's Sunday.
