Are Samsung American Fridge freezers noisy? Our Ikea FF has given up the ghost and I need to make a pretty quick decision, what will have to replace it. I wondered if the Samsung American Fridge freezers make any kind of annoying fridge noise or they quiet. Probably a super daft question 🤔. Posting here for traffic.

We had one - I loved it. We left it in our house when we moved to a new build as our new house had an integrated fridge/freezer. Oh how I miss my old fridge.

Don't get Samsung.

We had one. It had a fault where the motor gets frozen up and then you have to defrost the whole freezer.
It happened once. So we defrosted it, and then it was again after 6 months, gradually freezing up more and more frequently until it was monthly. At which point we replaced the motor... got another 18 months use before it started doing the same.

We looked on line and people had been complaining about that fault with Samsung fridge freezers for over 10 years and they hadn't fixed it.
So we changed it.

To answer your original question: They're pretty quiet, until the above happens, then it sounds like you have a helicopter at the back of the fridge.
