To ask for help with utrogestan HRT?

I am peri and have been on HRT a couple of years or more now, using 2 x utrogestan tabs at night on days 15-26.

I have recently been changed to 1 x utrogestan tab a night continuously.

Since I started the continuous regime I have experienced some mild cramping at night on a few nights, and now some spotting that seems to be turning to bleeding, but I only had my 'period' less than 2 weeks ago.

Just wondering if this kind of stuff is normal with the change to continuous progesterone? I can't remember whether the doc I see said to expect it and I don't see her for another 6 months (and she is too expensive to see more often!).

Generally I don't seem to get on that well with utrogestan as it seems to exacerbate constipation, and cause me sleep disruption etc but the doc said it may not be the utrogestan causing those issues, but that moving to a continuous regime might make it clearer whether it is indeed the progesterone causing problems.

Having started taking it orally once a night I am now trying it vaginally to avoid some of the gut issues but am wondering whether this is why I'm now bleeding again?

Unfortunately I can't use mirena coil due to a severe prolapse.

Any advice/experience would be great, thank you!

I changed to this after being on hrt for three years taking the tablet for two week. It took about three months for the spotting to stop.
