Dental insurance

Hello lovelies,

Does anyone have any advice on this…

I have just come back from an emergency dental appointment and advised that I need to register with a dentist and get a root canal, he did a temporary filling.

Is there an insurance plan that will help with the costs as apparently not all root canals are even covered on the nhs bands.

I’m happy to pay for a higher level on insurance cover as long as it covers my dental issues - I have silver fillings that are causing me extreme sensitivity and shooting pain, I’ve lost 20kg in the last 3-4 months as I can’t eat due to tooth pain, I have impacted wisdom… I don’t want cosmetic work, I just want something that will resolve the pain as I’m in complete agony…

I’m debating to go abroad to get it all done or is there a dental plan that will help with costs?

Thanks

I don't think they'll cover existing problems. I'd get the emergency work done here next week or they might even be able to fit you in t his week you never know - no need to go abroad.

After the emergency treatment I'd sort out the insurance. Mine is ÂŁ17 a month and I get 2 dentist check ups and 2 hyginist check ups for that, plus a 10% discount on any work that needs doing.
