shall I rearrange? Minor surgery and new job

I have an appointment coming up soon, a few days after I start my new job. Its a minor surgery on my toe. The job is active, on my feet. would it be best to rearrange?

If it's NHS don't rearrange or you might not get a date again!

I would, or delay the start date? Or start and use annual leave… or go sick. Needs must by the sounds of it. Good luck.
