Has Dettol bar soap been discontinued?

Not really an AIBU, but wasn’t sure where to ask.

I love Dettol soap ( the yellow bar), but suddenly cannot find it anywhere in the shops. A quick look on Google suggests it was banned in some countries, because its anti-bacterial properties are creating super bugs in the same way that over use of antibiotics are. If this is the reason ( it wasn’t fully clear), then I get it, but shall miss it 😔Such a trivial thing in the scheme of things, but it is annoying when products you have come to rely on suddenly disappear! Just wondered if anyone knew anything?

Noooo I hope this isn't true! I have 2 bars after this one and DP has some at his house for me but I will clear shelves to keep a stock of it. I love it

Ocado seem to have it as I added some in my order today and if they haven't got any they don't let you add it.

If you do find some you could buy a lifetime supply. I hope it hasn't gone too.

I know..I’m sorry! I was so happy to have found it and have used it for years, I love the scent and really dislike/ am allergic to so many of the liquid soaps. Hopefully it is just maybe a stock rupture in the shops ( as someone has said, Amazon have it) 😯

I've bought it of Amazon recently but actually they had some in Boots earlier this summer. I also found it in Thailand! In Thailand they had different versions and fragrances e.g. orange.

Yes, that’s the one. I don’t have a Savers near me, but thanks for the tip as I’ll go in if I see one! I’ve tried Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Boots, Super Drug, Pound Land… which made me think there might be an issue. Hopefully Amazon or Ocado will keep having it!

Amazon do 12 bars for £11
They also do a mixed bundle of Orange, Original, Lime & Mint, and a flowery one.

They've got them in body care in a pack of 3.
